Individual Therapy
Why Consider Therapy?
Therapy is not reserved only for those with a diagnosed mental health issue or those going through some kind of crisis. Mental health therapy is beneficial in a wide range of situations and research shows that it's most effective when you and your therapist build an authentic alliance. I do that by collaborating with you and your unique strengths in mind. My therapeutic approach is a blend of humor, compassionate curiosity, and warmth and my ultimate goal will always be for my clients to achieve sustainable and genuine healing (not just temporary relief).
How I Can Support You
Here are some common areas where I help clients:
Struggling to function after a distressing loss or a difficult life transition.
Navigating mood or thought disorders like depression or anxiety.
Resolving conflict or restoring trust in relationships.
Identifying patterns of unhealthy or ineffective behaviors at work, home, or social situations.
Is Individual Therapy Right for You?
Therapy is a good fit if you:
You are open to self-exploration and willing to collaborate with a therapist.
You are curious about trying different strategies to improve your mood and functioning.
You are motivated and remain consistent and present in sessions.
Am I Ready for Individual Therapy?
Therapy can be incredibly transformative with most of my clients finding a newfound confidence in their ability to navigate life's curve balls with confidence. While therapy often involves moments of vulnerability and self-reflection, it’s also a space for growth, support, and empowerment. My goal is to really understand what you're going through so we can work together on what matters most to you. While it’s absolutely okay to talk through tough emotions, therapy is also about building tools that you can take with you into everyday life. I’ll sometimes suggest strategies to try outside of our sessions, not as homework, but as gentle invitations to see what feels helpful and supportive for you.
If you want to discover a deeper sense of self-compassion, gain insight about patterns of behavior that harm you more than heal you, and allow you to share your story in a safe and warm environment, I may be the right fit for you.
